Duration of CA — depends on numerous factors :

The number of years required to become a chartered accountant, and to complete the CA exams, is dependent on so many factors such as previous qualifications, time taken by a student to complete one level, the period of articleship, waiting period for results, and so on. The entire chartered accountancy course might take on an average of 5 years to complete, therefore students and aspirants should be able to devote that much of time towards preparation.

Primary eligibility to take up the CA course :

In order to become a qualified chartered accountant, students have to clear three levels of the course conducted by the ICAI and only upon successful completion of all three levels (CPT, IPCC, Final), they would be designated as chartered accountants. The eligibility criteria is decided by the ICAI in order to help CA aspirants, keeping in mind their long term professional aspects.

Students are eligible to apply for the CPT level after completing their higher secondary schooling (10+2) and once they clear the CPT exam successfully, they can register themselves as a member of ICAI and start their due preparation for appearing in the other two levels. After the CPT, students will have to register or enrol for the ATC, post which they can apply for IPCC.

Again in IPCC there are a total of 7 subjects and each of them has a minimum pass aggregate which is mandatory to clear the level. Failing which, students will have to reappear for the exams again and this is going to drag the duration of completion of the level.

After IPCC, students have to do an internship of 3 years and this is the articleship period. Many students take up this internship under an experienced CA or in a reputed accounting firm in order to gain hands — on experience. During the last six months of the articleship period, students can take up their CA final exams and after successful completion, they can realize their dream of becoming the most coveted and respected chartered accountant.

Role of CA institutes :

Many CA aspirants enrol themselves in a reputed CA institute in order to gain maximum knowledge and support from well experienced faculty who conduct CA inter classes as well as final classes. The CA Academy and their team of faculty are instrumental in success of candidates and in helping them complete the course within stipulated duration. It also requires a whole lot of effort and determination from the student end to chase his or her passion towards chartered accountancy.

To make the best out of this lockdown period, Fundazone has come up with hybrid classes that is a mix of both physical classes as well as interactive real time webinar discussions, where students get to learn from their homes and most importantly these sessions are handled by well experienced professional faculty who strive hard to impart their knowledge to the aspirants.
